You have entered the internet home of denitapapillons.com. Marion & Hunter DeCarlo welcome you! The home of Denita Papillons is located in the north San Francisco Bay Area. Showing, training and breeding quality show animals is nothing new to either of us. We have over 35 years cumulative breeding and showing experience, having shown Old English Sheepdogs and bred, professionally trained and shown halter and performance Arabian and Arabian Saddlebred Pintos and nationally recognized racing Quarter horses.
We first became interested in Papillons 25 years ago through our Papillon mix “OB”. Over the years pursuing our passion of Papillons, we attended many conformation and performance events throughout the United States before deciding on the lines we wanted to incorporate in our breeding program, which at that time was still only an image in our hearts and minds.
Our first Papillon girl Z-Elite Sparkling Rose, “Shea”, was purchased as a 4 year old from Susan Tibus — Z–Elite Papillons as a companion pet in 1990. It was not until 2002 that we decided to begin our venture into the world of showing & breeding Papillons. We purchased our next Papillon as a 4 month old from Tracy Halverson-Burdick of Denzel Papillons, who is now Am./Int. Ch. Denzel Puttin On The Ritz, RN, TDI, CGC, “Ritz”.
Christine and Peter Brown - Kilan Papillons of England extended us the wonderful opportunity to import a puppy bitch from England, who has impeccable Caswell and Ringlands lines, Int. Ch. Kilan Contessa Lady In Red, “Sidney”.
Dorothy Hageman and Barbara Gossett - Wildways Kennels made it possible to include Ch. Wildways Chasing Rainbows, “Rosie” in our breeding program. They graciously allowed us to campaign Ch. Wildways Success Won’t Spoil me, “Travis” as a Special in 2005 & 2006. Travis’ sire “Gaia” BIS BISS Am. Ch. Queen Bless JP Success Story — SOM, was the #1 Papillon in America and won the PCA Golden Butterfly Award and Best of Breed @ Westminster in 2001. He won the PCA National Specialty in both 2000 & 2001. Travis’ dam Ch. Wildways Born To Be Spoiled was Best Puppy at the PCA National Specialty. Following his sire and dams winning ways, Travis has won approximately 15 Best of Breeds and an Award of Merit at the Sierra Nevada Papillon Specialty in 2006 with Marion handling. Dorothy and Barbara gave us the opportunity to make Travis a permanent member of our family in 2006. Our very first Group 1 with Travis and Tray Pittman handling, is something we will never forget.
We look forward to our showing Travis’ daughter’s “Dottie” Denita Success For Dorothy B and “Pia” Denita On A Wing And A Prayer and sharing our papillon Success Stories with you as time goes by.
